How we list

Few starters, plain advice, honest about money

shipfast.now lists a handful of boilerplates and templates. The list is short on purpose: more choices make it harder to start, not easier.

How we choose

  • We list starters we would point a friend to, free and paid.
  • Each page says who the starter is for and who it is not for.
  • We state the facts we can check: framework, price, license, and the month we checked them.

Why SvelteKit comes first

Starters are ranked by framework: SvelteKit first, Astro second, Next.js third. This is our opinion, and we say so. SvelteKit is the easiest to learn and ship and is powerful enough for almost anything. Astro is a great fit for content-led sites. Next.js ranks third because React adds complexity that is harder to keep maintained. A starter that supports several frameworks ranks by the best one it supports.

How we earn money

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes which starters we list or how we describe them.

  • Affiliate links are marked as sponsored in the page code and disclosed on the page.
  • We list free and open-source starters that pay us nothing.
  • A payment never buys a place on the list, a better description, or a higher position.

Independence

shipfast.now is an independent site. It is not affiliated with ShipFast (shipfa.st) or any other listed product. Names and logos belong to their owners. “Ship fast” is a common phrase among developers, and ShipFast is one product among several we list.
